Depicted herein is a Jinni fairy tale for delight of eleven-year-old to the ninety-nine years elderly. Its tale that existed at Dobo Forest in Badbou Gambia long, long time ago. It is a story ofvalor, love, the taming and eventual banning of the world’s largest and longest python locally called Saaba Miniyang baa. We meet young Saaba Mansa, later to be prince and eventual hire to the Bere Kolong throne. We watch him display power beyond the capacity of any ordinary human in over powering heavy weight warrior of the Jinn who challenged him to earn the right of the hand of Princess Jinanding Koyo to marriage. Saaba Mansa, meaning king of the great snake, as king triumphed over all obstacles and instituted new modern humane system of governing. He ushered in exciting changes in the lives and governance of the people. People no long need to fight to kill to win a bride. The simple heart’s enamor was made acceptable to all Bere Kolong communities. I write to raise funds to build Njawara village hospital.< Less
