Of all children the African child is one faced with more than they can chew. The inept ruling politicians never included empowering of the African child in their aspirations other than paying lip service to their cause time and again during campaign trails. Pillars of education i.e. schools and universities, good healthcare services, to give hope to African children never exist nor are implemented but are carried half hazily. African history cannot be kind to current leaders who since independence, some sixty years ago, provided no infrastructure. Rather they wallow in gold, diamond and or lucrative oil industry. These leaders careless if or whether their people go to bed hungry. To make matters worse the engage in buying more and more weapon to kill their own in other to stay in power. The rest of the resources at their disposal are normally used for personal gains by buying castles in Bordeaux, France or building villas for their bed mates. These leaders scrumptiously gather and siphon money to foreign lands, as exemplified by former President and Dictator Yahya Jammeh of the Gambia, West Africa. This heinous act leaves the African child growing without the proper social pillars of help from government. It certainly clear that the African leaders most not turn into a new leave to provide affirmative leadership as well respect the wish of the governed. In Gambia August is the most dreaded month of the year. I write to raise funds for building Njawara hospital.
