Rural Gambia had one hospital nestled in remote Bansang village at the far end of the country. Farafeni hospital was built in the North Bank in the 1990s. This underserved scarcity of healthcare service left the indigenous with no other cause but to risk accepting treatments from voodoos. This is how a concerned village son took the bull by the horns to bring needed medical service to rural Gambia. It tries to shed reason why we need to illuminate life to remove dark and despondent moments from needy hearts. Let hope and light triumph over darkness and to allow peace transcend earth.
