This work portrays a pulsating village government and local traditions. It depicts movers and sages and how rural knowledge and tribal cohesiveness was maintained and passed onto the next generation. Today’s Bantaba is a microcosm of former African Democratic systems. The Bantaba is doctrine of life and village constitution and has been going on for many millennia in hope of maintaining with high fidelity ancestral values and virtues. In this setting, everyone participates in debate about a topic(s) or rendered decisions. Intricate disputes are settled without resort to Western legal routes. The Bantaba also functions as a ceremonial festivities and wrestling ground. We salute heroines and heroes like , Sefo Fafanding Kinteh, late Baba Salla Ceesay and Sisawo Ceesay, and all speakers and contributors to the functional life of Njawara village. These sages are our Njawara alchemists. I write to raise funds for building of Njawara hospital.
