Njawara village is an ancient trading centre for more than three hundred and fifty years between Gambia and the Republic of Senegal. Business thrived and drew many merchants from afar and regional. It became the region’s metropolitan home of diverse nature. Nearly most Gambian tribes were represented in this unique trading centre of the colonial era. This made its culture rich and more diverse than any other village in the North Bank of the Gambia. Letter from Njawara is an anthological attempt to provide the historical, cultural, evolutionary or developmental and political perspectives of the village of twin nations. Two third of the resident are Gambian, Senegales and Mauritanians constitutes quarter of the population while Lebanese and Syrians spiced this diversity. Finally this work hopes to inspire, give hope and encouragement to youngsters about how not to give up on life and urge them stay buoyed to face challenges life throws at us in this sojourn. i write to raise funds for building of Njawara village hospital.
