Our destiny is caved seventy five percent by us and twenty five percent by sheer luck. Since the latter is of rare gift one must buck up and role sleeves to not only build a worthy rewarding life but one nobly shared. My date with destiny is nothing less than bringing a much needed healthcare delivery to rural Gambia. Current medical services in rural Gambia are an insult to humanity and a painful, woeful neglect of the regional people. Ninety five percent of the Health Centres have no medications and worse they are ill-equipped and poorly manned for volume of service it need rendered. Among the shortages besides lacking doctors are that there is no adequate staffing, no ambulances, and above all Health Centres are strewed with dilapidated and poorly maintained equipments, and surrounded by bad feeder roads making it more hazardous for patients needing emergency care. This work relates to how I met my goal by plying through sceptics, mockery, political and immigration transgressions, and by sheer iron will and determination for my people. This work is about being a positive contributing member of society no matter where you may find yourself. It tries to shed reason why we need ignite the spirit and embers of giving not only to illuminate an others’ life but remove dark and despondent moments from those needy hearts. In so doing we let love, hope and light triumph over darkness and hence allow peace to transcend earth. I hope of motivating you to do good causes waiting for your mark. I write to raise funds for building of Njawara village hospital.
