This is epic story of my birthplace. Its pulsating village government and local traditions. It depicts movers and sages and how rural knowledge and tribal cohesiveness are maintained and passed to next generations. The Bantaba is microcosm of African Democracies. It's life, constitution and rituals for many millennia maintained high fidelity ancestral values and virtues.Here everyone participates in debate or rendered decisions. Intricate disputes are settled fairly at this ceremonial place. We salute heroines and heroes like Hadi Panneh, Sefo Fafanding Kinteh, Baba Salla Ceesay and Sisawo Ceesay, Lower Badibou District Authority, Kerewan Area Council and all contributors to Njawara. No one forgets storyteller/tradesman Bakary Kanteh at the T-Junction shop.I write to raise funds for building of hospital at Njawara. We invite all to help us provide medical aid to villagers. Purchasing/donating in cash/kind will help bring our goal to fruition, especially for children who frequently die from childhood diseases.
